Highlights from the dmexco 2017

The exclusive pre-conference to dmexco 10,000 metres above the Atlantic

At the heart of the digital transformation is the transformation of marketing, brands and entire companies. The digital marketing exposition and conference, dmexco, has established itself as the foremost meeting place for the digital industry. For two days, leading thinkers in the field of digitalisation will come together at Koelnmesse, the trade fair and exhibition centre by the Rhine in Cologne. Quite a number of speakers as well as many visitors will be travelling to the two-day event from the USA, which is why, this year, Lufthansa FlyingLab is cooperating with dmexco.

For the first time the marketing conference will begin in New York. High above the Atlantic on board Boeing 747-8 flight LH 405, five speakers will give an insight into their digital themes. Participants in the Lufthansa FlyingLab will be able to experience fascinating live presentations at their seats - irrespective of booking class. With a Wi-Fi-enabled mobile device, such as a smartphone, tablet or laptop, they will receive live video stream of the speakers as well as their presentations. They will also have the chance to get to know other participants at the ‘Meet & Greet’ at the gate at JFK or during the flight, before dmexco even starts.

What is dmexco?

Dmexco - Digital Marketing Exposition & Conference - is the global business and innovation platform of the digital economy in Germany. On 13 and 14 September 2017 in Koelnmesse, more than 1,000 exhibitors will present their 'digiconomy' products and services in more than 90,000 square metres of exhibition space. More than 50,000 visitors will use the trade fair for direct business dealings, making valuable new contacts and evaluating new business ideas.

Running in parallel with the exhibition is a two-day conference at which more than 550 speakers from 100 countries will present on the various stages. The leading thinkers of the global digital economy will talk about the latest trends, successful projects and innovative products in presentations, interviews and round-table discussions as well as in the 'hot seat'.

Lufthansa FlyingLab in the dmexco 'World of Experience'

Under the slogan 'New Haptic - New Products - New Experience', dmexco visitors will test digital products in the 'World of Experience'. Lufthansa FlyingLab will present virtual reality applications to interested visitors in the Cologne conference centre. Our charming Lufthansa flight attendants will offer visitors fascinating insights into the 360-degree world of Lufthansa. With the Icaros VR flight simulator we make dreams of flying come true (or at least it will feel like that). Virtual reality offerings will also extend the selection of visitors’ next travel destinations. Experience how virtual reality can make flying with Lufthansa even more enjoyable. The 'World of Experience' in Hall 9 is for the first time this year part of dmexco on 13 and 14 September 2017 in Cologne.
